U4 Oscillator Module
Overview
One Spectrotek U4
oscillator module is supplied with every Spectrotek product
that has an on board carrier frequency oscillator.
Equipment
requiring an on-board carrier frequency oscillator is shipped
with a U4 module programmed at either 3.10 MHz (standard) or
3.30 MHz (alternate,) depending on the purchasers preference.
Custom frequency
oscillator modules for your equipment may be requested.
Because the allowable carrier frequency range varies between
different equipment you should refer to the instruction manual
for your equipment before placing an order.
NOTE - Custom
U4 oscillator modules are not returnable. As custom
modules are not stocked, delivery times may exceed 14 days.
Technical Specifications
The U4 oscillator module uses a high precision, one-time,
programmable crystal controlled oscillator along with the
necessary voltage regulation and DC power filtering for
stability. The DC power requirements are +5 V at 30
mA. The output signal is a ground referenced +3.3 V
square wave, and is capable of driving a single TTL
input. Frequency and stability are essentially
unaffected by changes in load impedance. The duty cycle
of the output signal is close to 50%, and may vary slightly
depending on the operating frequency.
